1951		  
SAMIA was founded in 1951, following the discovery of natural gas fields in Northern Italy and was able to satisfy the massive demand for Combustion Equipment. Initially SAMIA was the representative of well established American Combustion Companies. In 1961 SAMIA began to manufacture its own equipment, becoming one of the major companies in the field of flare systems and combustion equipment.
1964   SAMIA establishes its fully owned manufacturing factory in Lesmo (Milan) for its own production line.
1966   SAMIA installs a Test Facility, with furnaces and equipment used for testing and improving SAMIA products (Flares and Burners).
1980   SAMIA decides to change its operation policy turning into design, engineering, R&D.The production is reduced to special parts and subcontracted for the rest of the units.
1981   SAMIA starts a a Collaboration Agreement with the Japanese Company NFK (Nippon Furnace Kogyo Kaisha, Ltd) trasferring the flares Know How for the local market.
1987   SAMIA signs a Collaboration Agreement with NFK for the transfer of new innovative technologies applied to petrolchemical burners (LoNOx burners), decreasing considerably NOX emissions (nitrogen oxide)
1991   SAMIA starts the "School of Combustion", thematic courses performed by qualified staff to all the Companies interested in SAMIA products.
1997   SAMIA enters the Chinese market with its fully owned branch office:SAMIA Beijing Office (S.B.O.), which promotes the sale and service of SAMIA Combustion Equipment and ancillary units of interest to one of the greatest worlwide market.
2000   SAMIA, in collaboration with NFK Company, signs an agreement for a new innovative technology: HRS High Cycle Regenerative Combustion System). HRS is a revolutionary combustion system in terms of low environmental impact and energy saving which decreases considerably NOx emissions arriving to save up to 50 % of fuel, producing a better quality. SAMIA completes at his own Test Facility in Lesmo (Milan) a demonstration unit of the HRS system.
2009   Samia srl operation is transferred in whole through our Holding company: Weissenalpen Holding Co. to the newly established companies:
1)SAMIA Italia srl
2)SAMIA Beijing Ltd.
to continue, with renovated enthusiasm, modern reorganization and well motivated staff, to follow-up with new advanced technology and customers requirements.
